About Footprints Educare

In 1983 the founders of Abundant Life Centre, Benny and Sharon Tan, identified a need in the community of Kaitaia.

It was in this moment that the first registered day care was established in the Far North.  This decision has created an on-going legacy of quality care and education for parents and their children.

Today, Footprints educare continues to deliver excellence in early childhood education founded upon Christian teachings and values.

The facilities provide a modern, forward thinking environment of learning whilst staying true to the need identified in 1983.

Our Staff

At Footprints educare, we greatly value our staff.  We have a dynamic team of educators who love what they do, they are an amazing bunch who are dedicated to the learning and well-being of your tamariki.

Footprints educare provide a development program for all staff to continually increase their skills and qualifications.  We are committed to producing the best educators in the Far North.

To achieve this, we are partnered with the Christian Early Childcare Education Association of Aotearoa. The diversity of our team in experience and culture keeps our learning environment innovative and vibrant.  This empowers our tamariki to understand and celebrate diversity.

Excursions & Experiences

We love to widen the horizons of our tamariki’s learning environment, we achieve this by going on field trips.

This has included our coastal beaches, tropical gardens, farm lands and local landmarks such as Cape Reinga and Waitangi.

It is important that our tamariki get to experience the beauty and history of our local area.

Nutritional Meals

We believe all our tamariki should have the best start in their educational life and a service we provide to support this is the provision for home cooked nutritional meals for all.

Not only does a healthy balanced diet help our tamariki in their learning development it also encourages great social interaction as they sit, talk and eat together!!
